Because they anguished over their sinfulness, the psalmists remembered the ancient testimony regarding covenant Lord: I am Yahweh (“god”), “the caring and grateful God, slow to frustration, abounding crazy and faithfulness, sustaining like to plenty, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin” (Ex 34:6-7)
